Bolt supporting technology is an important reform for the support technology of mine roadway. It was widely used and played a huge role in solving the problems of the original support. However, with the increasing depth of the roadway, the geological conditions become more and more complex and the problems of the roadway support are also more and more.
Kowloon mine is a mine of large mining depth, high stress and complex geological conditions. Roadway pressure appeared obviously. It has been renovated for many times so as to waste a great deal of manpower and material resources. After the renovation, the roadway floor was destroyed firstly and then heaved, which led to the failure of the final support. The soft rock support of large mining depth was a problem that had been perplexing the roadway support in Kowloon mine.
As an effective means of anchorage, rock anchor bolt is being widely used in tunnel advance support, radial support, slope reinforcement, roadbed reinforcement and tunnel regulation projects. Rock anchor bolt has been largely used in the tunnel, roadbed and slope constructions of railway system in recent years and has achieved remarkable social benefits and good economic benefits. However, due to the poor condition of the coal mine, it has not been applied in the coal system. Based on the successful experience of ground engineering application and the characteristics of Kowloon mine roadway, the project contractor decided to apply self drilling rock anchor for the underground tunnel test. Finally, the application of self drilling rock anchor solved the floor heave problem of the roadway successfully. And the support effect was significant.
